The NTC Nano Tech Coatings GmbH operates globally and specialises in the development and production of highly effective surface coatings for industry and the construction trade. We are experts in the use of sol-gel based nanotechnology in modern product development.

Dr.-Ing. Georg Wagner
Dr. Ing. Georg Wagner, the founder and principal shareholder of NTC GmbH, is an internationally recognised capacity as an expert for coating materials. He works as an author for leading specialist journals and presents the results of his research material at conferences and congresses around the world.
Dr. Wagner also performs voluntary work and, among other things, has represented the chemicals industry for several years now in the general assembly of the Saarland IHK (Chamber of Industry and Commerce). He also acts as chairman of the Saar VCI (Association of German Chemical Industry).
With modern laboratories and great scientific potential NTC GmbH was already able to build up a customer base of renowned, international company shortly after its establishment in 2000.

Besides its own research and development laboratory NTC also produces in Tholey.
Successful expansion and constantly increasing order volumes meant that the company was reaching its limits in the original premises
This is why Dr. Wagner began the planning and construction of a new building complex for the company in 2017 at the current site in Tholey, Saarland, which was finished in 2018.

Research
We also actively conduct research in our own particular field of nanotechnology, as in the future we will need new, innovative products that sustainably improve resource-saving and environmentally friendly surface properties. In recognition of our commitment, the ‘Stifterverband für die Deutsche Wissenschaft e.V.’ awarded us the ‘Innovation through Research’ seal for 2020-2021.
Memberships
The NTC GmbH is member of the VCI Germany. The VCI (Association of German Chemical Industry) and their regional and sector associations represent the interests of chemical and pharmaceutical companies at national, European and global level for an attractive industrial location Germany. Dr. Georg Wagner acts as President of the VCI in Saarland, the home-federal state of NTC.
We are also member of the Deutsche Forschungsgesellschaft für Oberflächenbehandlung e.V. (DFO)
